Dear Large Scale Frame Enthusiasts:

Thank you for your interest in our advert that appeared in the March/April 2004 of Model Cars magazine. We are excited about the prototype frame.

Please note that the frame kit is not yet available. The frame in the advert is a prototype only, and was intended to accompany an article in that magazine. We had intended that the display advert would appear in connection with the short article that will appear, we believe, in the May/June issue of Model Cars. That article will make it clear that our new company’s willingness to prepare the final photoetch kit will be determined by how many actual customers are interested in acquiring one of these frame kits.

Please note that the frame kit is not yet available.  The frame in the advert, along with the associated parts that appear in our catalog are prototypes only.  We had intended that the display advertisement in Model Cars would accompany an article that we have prepared for, and will be presented in, a near-future issue of Model Cars.  That article will make it clear that our company’s willingness to significantly invest in the preparation of the final photo etch kit will be determined by how many actual customers are interested in acquiring the frame kits and associated parts.

Further work will be required before the frame could be offered for sale.  For instance, in consultation with Prior Passarino, the front and rear cross members would be modified to permit a lowered stance of the finished model. The frame could be purchased separately, or augmented with other parts like a drilled front axle, a correct quick-change rear axle, machined shock absorbers and other details, or the frame can be purchased fully assembled.

If the market reaction warrants, we will also move ahead to create other parts so that an interested builder could construct a fully-accurate 1/8 scale Deuce frame.  Those parts would include:  line brackets for the fuel and brake hydraulic systems, machined tubular shocks, a working lights kit, the heavy aluminum jig Mark S. Gustavson used to assemble the prototype frame seen in the advertisement, and possibly other parts.

Please let us know your level of interest in this 1/8 scale 1932 Ford frame. Again, our decision to produce this frame will be a function of the genuine interest on behalf of large scale Ford Deuce frame enthusiasts.

Thank you for your interest, and we hope to hear from you soon.

Cordially,
